Si ce style est l’apanage de plusieurs formations américaines célèbres, il a un seul et unique représentant en France depuis 23 ans : BLACK BOMB A.
Avec à son actif 7 albums, 1 EP et 2 DVDs live, la formation a su bâtir une carrière en constante progression autour de son style indémodable. La recette est d’une efficacité absolue : une section rythmique puissante et groovy, des riffs à décorner les bœufs, le tout chapeauté par deux chants étonnants : tandis que l’un racle les tréfonds des abysses, l’autre frôle la crise d’hystérie.
Black Bomb A, ce sont aussi plus de 1000 concerts (dont deux prestations au Hellfest en 2012 et 2018) qui ont laissé exsangues des fans toujours plus nombreux, prêts à manger dans la main du groupe. Une véritable expérience live tant le prodigieux échange d’énergie entre BBA et son public est monstrueusement communicatif.
Le groupe revient le 12 octobre 2018 avec un nouvel album produit par Francis Caste, qui porte tout simplement son nom : « BLACK BOMB A ». Car à lui seul, ce patronyme est déjà synonyme de mandale. Pas besoin d’en dire plus.
